Based on the research carried out in WP3 to WP9, INGINEUS analyses the policy-related institutional aspects that affect the features and development of GINs between Europe and latecomer economies. It reflects upon the most relevant dynamics of GINs, their threats and opportunities in view of the international dimension of the Lisbon strategy, and discusses their implications for the next 10-15 years.
The desired output of this effort is to derive specific innovation policy options for the EU, its member states, and for latecomer countries. The focus is particularly on three aspects:
A consolidated overview of the results of INGINEUS will be presented in a dedicated Workshop on Policy Foresight to be organised by University of Sussex in the UK in summer 2011.
